Air Force One served up a bumpy journey for President Donald Trump Thursday … and he needed to get forward of the inevitable rumors that would crop up.
While conducting interviews throughout the flight again from his Asian tour, Trump was virtually combating to remain upright via a patch of turbulence. Ever aware of optics, he fairly hilariously known as it out.
Referring to himself in third particular person, Trump joked, “They’re gonna be watching Trump. They’re gonna say, ‘He didn’t look too good. He’s got the shakes.’ I don’t have the shakes, but people are gonna think I do.”
Clutching a door body, Trump urged perhaps they need to’ve pushed his assembly with the press again just a little bit, kidding, “The interviews are tough enough without your life being threatened.”
The flight marked the conclusion of Trump’s 3-country tour of Asia, which included Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. The South Korea leg of the journey markedly featured a gathering with China’s chief Xi Jinping — their first since Trump returned to the White House.
The rocky journey comes on the finish of a shaky month in his presidency … the federal government shutdown has now entered its thirtieth day.
