According to new court docs obtained by TMZ … Akon checked the field to terminate spousal help for Tomeka — his spouse of 29 years — after she had requested it in her divorce petition filed in September.
Interestingly, Tomeka requested the court to not award any spousal help to Akon so it appears each need to defend inheritor funds.
In Akon’s response, filed Friday in L.A. Superior Court, he additionally requested joint bodily custody of the 17-year-old youngster he shares with Tomeka.
Tomeka, however, requested for joint authorized custody of their youngster, in addition to full bodily custody.
