Nigel Lythgoe‘s doubling down on his denial of Paula Abdul‘s sexual assault allegations regardless of agreeing to a lawsuit settlement along with her.
The TV present producer arrived at LAX this weekend … and a paparazzo requested him what he feels he must do to rebuild his legacy after Adbul accused him of forcibly kissing her and grabbing her genitals.
Lythgoe says he does not really feel he has to rebuild something … saying an unfaithful allegation was made in opposition to him — and, strive as he may to disclaim it, there’s not a lot else he can do.
Instead, Nigel says he is targeted on upcoming initiatives … revealing he is producing an upcoming present and a movie as effectively — although he would not say what both venture is about.
All this comes lower than a 12 months after Paula settled her lawsuit in opposition to Nigel … although it is unclear if cash modified fingers on account of the settlement.
PA was clearly proud of the phrases of the settlement … telling us in an announcement, “I am grateful this chapter has successfully come to a close and is now something I can now put behind me. This has been a long and hard-fought personal battle. I hope my experience can serve to inspire other women, facing similar struggles, to overcome their own challenges with dignity and respect, so that they too can turn the page and begin a new chapter of their lives.”
Lythgoe denied the allegations — very like he did on the airport just lately — within the fast aftermath of the settlement … telling TMZ, “We dwell in a troubling time the place an individual is now mechanically assumed to be responsible till confirmed harmless, a course of that may take years. That is why, like Paula, I’m glad to have the ability to put this behind me. I do know the reality and that offers me nice consolation.”
