Billionaires take lots of crap on-line — and apparently at artwork displays, too … as a result of an artist’s new piece depicts them as robotic canines pooping out digital artwork prints.
The exhibit’s the speak of Art Basel Miami Beach … crafted by the artist Beeple, it is titled “Regular Animals” — with flesh-colored robo-dogs wandering round a pen sporting super-realistic masks.
Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Pablo Picasso are just some of the well-known faces worn by the pups that wander round dropping a great deal of photographs, every with a definite fashion. The masks have been made by Landon Meier.
Check out the clip … the masks are scary and spot-on — good recreations of the actual faces. The Zuck bot even takes a dump, capturing out what seems to be like a crimson and black picture.
Beeple informed Page Six his work is a commentary on how billionaires have changed artists in framing social media customers’ interpretations of the world — with Zuck and Musk notably wielding outsized affect given their respective corporations. Some of the photographs are NFTs … mainly digital collector’s objects.
While the bots have already been bought by personal collectors … their leavings can nonetheless be purchased — and, they arrive with enjoyable “excrement” baggage which say degenerate artwork collectors could get “uncontrollable erections” after seeing the work.
We’ll have to attend and see if the billionaires let sleeping canines lie right here … or, if Beeple ought to prepared himself for a sh*tstorm.
