San Francisco was hit with a serious energy outage Saturday evening, turning the entire metropolis into darkness and dangerously stalling a ton of self-driving Waymo taxis.
The citywide outage pressured Waymo to halt its driverless automobile service, stranding the autonomous autos in the midst of the streets and intersections, based on pedestrians posting movies on X Saturday.

A Waymo spokesperson tells TMZ that ride-hailing companies have been “temporarily suspended” because of the outage. They added, “Our groups are working diligently and in shut coordination with metropolis officers to observe infrastructure stability, and we’re hopeful to convey our companies again on-line quickly.”
